How do I implement second-look monetization ?
This guide provides the technical steps to activate Second-Look Monetization on your website. This solution uses a standalone, ultra-lightweight script to detect unfilled ad slots and trigger a secondary auction.
Step 1: Script Insertion
Place the following module at the very top of your <HEAD> section. It is a best practice to place this before your Consent Management Platform (CMP) tag.
<script type='module' src="https://scripts.opti-digital.com/modules/?pubid=<YOUR_PUBID>"></script>
Step 2: CMP Configuration
To allow our demand partners to bid on your inventory, you must update your CMP vendor list.
-
Action: Add Opti Digital (Vendor ID 915) to your Global Vendor List.
-
Requirement: Re-push or resubmit your CMP settings so existing users can provide consent for the new vendor.
Step 3: Ads.txt Update
Ensure your ads.txt file is updated to authorize the secondary auction demand.
-
Lines: Add the Opti Digital and partner SSP lines provided by your Account Manager.
-
Strategic Requirement: For standalone publishers, include the line:
managerdomain=optidigital
Step 4: House Campaign Override (Optional)
If you currently use "House Campaigns" (internal promotions) to fill blank spaces and wish to replace them with paid ads:
-
Provide your GAM Advertiser IDs to your Account Manager.
-
Our script will detect these IDs and trigger an override auction only when a paid ad meets your value threshold.
