## If you see only few impressions delivered through the interstitial ads, it's because the behavior of this format is limiting the delivery.

If you see only few impressions delivered through the interstitial ads, it's because **the behavior of this format is limiting the delivery**.
This type of ads isn't appearing once the users lands on the site, they must **click somewhere** on the site to trigger the interstitial.
This impactful format is also **controlled by Google** that ensures that it is respecting[Better Ads Standards](https://www.betterads.org/standards/) and the user experience. This is why interstitial ads should have a fixed frequency cap of **1 impression per session**, in other words, the user will see the ad only once per hour per subdomain.
Plus, if your site have an SPAs or infinite scroll pages, it is less likely to receive impressions as interstitials are triggered by **user-initiated** page navigation.
