What is House Reads?

House Reads is an Ad Experience for editorial publishers. When an eligible ad slot remains unfilled, it automatically displays a native recommendation widget featuring trending articles from your website.

Recommendations are selected based on the content trending in the reader’s country. The article list is refreshed regularly and randomized to reduce repetition. House Reads works on desktop and mobile and automatically adapts to the available placement size.

Display modes

Multi-Article displays several recommendations and is the default, recommended layout because it gives readers more choice and supports stronger recirculation.

Single-Article promotes one article with a larger visual and may be better suited to smaller placements.

How to enable House Reads ?

House Reads is managed from the Ad Experiences section of the Opti Digital platform.

Enable it for desktop, mobile, or both, select your preferred display mode, and customize the widget’s title, typography, colors, borders, and other visual settings to match your website.

No separate technical integration or backend activation is required. Once enabled and published, House Reads can begin serving on eligible unfilled inventory.
